GDPR is the General data protection regulation of the European Union. It is a joint act of the European Parliament, the Council of the European Union and the European Commission. Their objective is to improve data protection for all citizens within the European Union. The application of this regulation clearly defines the protection of personal data and standardizes it among all EU Member States, with the objective of returning control of personal data to citizens.

Pangeanic B.I. Europa S.L., as a corporation responsible for the processing of personal data of both customers and suppliers, has prepared this guide that responds to the following headings: party responsible, purpose, legitimacy, recipients, rights, and origin of the personal data we process.

Clients – At Pangeanic B.I. Europa S.L we process the information provided by clients in order to provide quotations and to manage translation and proofreading projects according to the types of work required and offered.

Providers – We store the information provided by service providers related to the translation sector in order to provide a complete profile of the translator to the project managers. The managers take this information into account in order to evaluate the suitability of the supplier for the projects and to assign them.

Internal personnel – The personal information related to our employees is stored for administrative purposes related to personnel management (Social Security registrations and cancellations, payroll payments and other related procedures).

Automated decisions will not be made based on this information.

How long will we store your data?

Clients – In the case of clients, the data provided will be kept as long as the deletion is not requested by the party concerned, and will be destroyed after a period of 4 years from the last confirmation of interest.

Providers – In the case of service providers, the data provided will be kept as long as the deletion is not requested by the party concerned.

Clients – The legal basis for the processing of your data is the execution of the agreement for the provision of services. When you provide us with a confidentiality document as a client, we will rely on it. When you do not, we will use the confidentiality agreement described in the terms and conditions of Pangeanic B.I. Europa S.L.

The prospective offer of services is based on the consent that is requested, and a rejection of the budget will not condition the confidentiality of the data under any circumstances.

Providers – The legal basis for the processing of your data as a supplier is based on the conditions with which you become part of the supplier database, through the acceptance of the Supplier Contract and non-Disclosure Agreement. The information collected (CVs, diplomas, professional associations, etc.) is only used internally.

The data provided by clients will be processed internally, including the processing of personal data or the company in question. When personal data is also part of the translation project, it will be communicated to the translation service providers when deemed appropriate by the project managers.
